There is without a doubt a ludicrous amount of website marketing and SEO tools available online. This resource list contains SEO, web hosting, and website marketing services that we have personally used and recommend. Disclaimer: some of the links below are affiliate links, however, we use these tools ourselves and therefore have no problem recommending them.
Securi – If your website makes you money, protect it from hackers with Securi’s Website AntiVirus + Website Firewall (WAF). Their security experts will thoroughly scan, clean, monitor & protect your website 24/7. And, their security software will automatically block your website’s vulnerabilities from any & all attacks. If you site is already infected, Securi can help clean your site with their malware and blacklist removal tools. The cost of this service is $199.99/year (less than $18/month).
Raven Tools – An indispensable SEO analysis tool that offers more analytic capabilities and SEO research options than you can shake a stick at. Your first 30-days is free, after which time you can select from 3 (under-priced, IMO) plans that your competitors hope you don’t opt for. All kidding aside, Raven seamlessly incorporates SEO, social, backlink, and competitor data.
Codable is who business owners use to fix their pesky WordPress problems, without breaking the bank. Codable is quite a bit different from all of the other outsourcing sites online. Meaning, all of their WordPress developers have been carefully screened and vetted to ensure they meet their high standards of providing quality communication (in English), clean code, and responsiveness. These guys are the real deal, and your WordPress issues are about to become history.
WP Site Care – The folks at WP Site Care are who we exclusively recommend for ongoing WordPress maintenance. They will keep your site running as perfectly as the day it was born. Plus, who wants to deal with annoying plugin updates and your site breaking and stuff. These guys will assure you sleep a little better at night.
Lucky Orange will help you answer the question of why 99% of visitors that visit your site never turn into customers. It’s one of those tools that will have you wondering how you ever lived without it.
Moz – Let Moz’s strong set of SEO tools do the heavy lifting for you. This top-notch SEO software will crawl your site each week, notifying you about issues that might impact your performance. They also monitor rankings for all the keywords you care about on the search engines your audience uses (er, Google).
Header Checker & Keyword Density Tool – We Build Pages does a nice job incorporating these two tools which are great for making sure your site has proper header data and ensuring you’re not stuffing your site with too many keywords.
Class C Checker – Check whether your sites (or sites that are linking to yours) are hosted on the same Class C IP Range. Google frowns upon owners with multiple sites who take advantage of black-hat linking strategies. Keep in mind, Google can also read WHOIS data to see if sites are owned by the same people.
UpdraftPlus – Super easy backup plugin. Backup directly to your Dropbox account, and restore just as easily.
MemberPress – The only way to manage an online membership operation. Ok, not the only. But definitely the best.
Gravity Forms – Intelligent form solution great for increasing conversions and managing data
Soliloquy – Responsive slider that just works. On any page. Or post. It’s sort of amazing.
SEO Friendly WordPress Themes:
Genesis – Nothing else really compares.
Dynamik – Really special Genesis child theme that allows tons of customizations
Utility Pro – A premium and awesomely accessible Genesis child theme
Beaver Builder – Be the boss of your theme. Works great with Genesis in particular. Sort of like a WYSIWYG (divi) editor for Genesis themes.
WYSIWYG WordPress Themes:
Olark – Increase your leads by adding live chat to your website!
SnapEngage – Looking to align your chat with UserVoice, or another CRM? Look into SnapEngage!
